Imagine being 19 years old, sitting in the waiting room of a hospital as your mother is undergoing hysterectomy surgery. You’re anxious and a little bored…you’ve been told this is a routine procedure. Then, you overhear a nurse coming out of the operating room and sharing with a colleague:

 “The lady having the hysterectomy just died.” 

SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT MY MOTHER!  My mother literally died on the operating table. She was revived and survived only after intensive medical intervention.

How could this be? How could a “routine” procedure so quickly become a nightmare?

It’s been quite a journey since I was sitting in the waiting room of that hospital.  If I knew then what I know now, MY MOTHER WOULD NEVER HAVE gone through that surgery. There is a better and safer way and I want to share it with you.

At 19 years of age, menopause was the furthest thing from my mind. However, over the years, I’ve observed family members and friends using conventional medical treatments for menopause. Treatments such as drugs, hormones, and surgeries. These life altering treatments offered little relief and, in many cases, major side effects. It opened my eyes and led me TO TAKE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPROACH TO HEALTH AND MENOPAUSE. I decided to embrace nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.

As obvious as that may sound, it flies in the face of conventional wisdom. I even had a doctor once advise me to begin hormone replacement therapy “if I didn’t want to look old.” Can you imagine? Or maybe this or similar “advice” has been shared with you.

But I knew my body and was convinced there was a better and more natural way.

The painful moment of hearing that my mom “died” during surgery, remained in my subconscious. The little voice in the back of my mind started getting louder and louder creating a deep desire to inform other women of the natural path I was successfully living. I’ve achieved great health (EVEN during that feared stage in a woman’s life: menopause) and want to help other women achieve similar results.

And so began fifteen years of studying and researching (thousands of hours!) about a systemic approach to health. I became a certified Holistic Health coach graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York. I also obtained training in Chinese medicine practices, Indian ayurvedic medicine, and natural emergency methods studying with well-known doctors and practitioners.

My big takeaway from years of studying menopause?

Conventional “wisdom” about menopause is – take hormones! That thinking is just plain WRONG, unnatural, and can lead to dangerous – even deadly – consequences. 

I wrote the book “Menopause the Way Nature Intended. Don’t Sweat It” to help the millions of women going through menopause. Menopause doesn’t mean you’re destined to suffer. You can live a great life today looking and feeling your best. I know because this is the life I’m living and the testimonials I get every day from my clients, and I want to share all my secrets, with you.
